Collaborations

National Geographic

National Geographic supported the Sea Around Us through a common interest in quantifying and illustrating the impact of fisheries on marine ecosystems. We chose the “seafoodprint” of fisheries as a measure of this impact. Read the SeafoodPrint report.

Baltic 2020

We contributed to the work of the Baltic Sea 2020 Foundation (Sweden) by reconstructing total catch time series for all Baltic Sea countries back to 1950.

Oceana

Oceana supported a conference held in Belize in 2011 aimed at disseminating and repatriating crucial information on the marine biodiversity and fisheries of Belize and what the people of Belize were at risk to lose due to proposed oil exploration in their waters.
